Decatur library closed until Monday after shooting ‘critically’ injures man

Police arrested the suspect 44-year-old Medicus Brown, and officers said the victim is still in the hospital in critical condition.

DECATUR, Ga. — A DeKalb County library is still closed after a shooting that ‘critically’ injured a man on Monday night.

The shooting occurred at the Decatur Library located at 215 Sycamore Street on Feb. 2 in the evening. Officers arrived at the scene, finding a man inside with a gunshot wound, and he was taken to the hospital for treatment. As of Thursday, Feb. 5, police said the man is still in critical condition.
