WALDOBORO — A Waldoboro Select Board member is entering the race to represent the Waldoboro area in the Maine House.
Rebecca Stephens said Feb. 15 she will seek the Republican nomination for Maine House District 45. The seat is held by Rep. Abden Simmons, R-Waldoboro, who told the Lincoln County News last week that he would not seek reelection. Simmons is also on the Select Board.
District 45 covers Waldoboro, Friendship, Washington, Bremen and Louds Island.
