ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH, La. — A World War II veteran from Louisiana is celebrating a major milestone, his 100th birthday.
Family, friend, and staff gathered at the Southeast Louisiana War Veterans Home to honor Ray Taylor, a Navy veteran who served during World War II as part of the Navy’s Construction Battalion, better known as the Seabees.
Guests sang “Happy Birthday” and thanked Taylor for his service as the centenarian
