Eight new members inducted to Louisiana Political Hall of Fame during annual ceremony

MONROE, La. (KNOE) – Eight new members of the Louisiana Political Hall of Fame were inducted during the 34th Annual Louisiana Political Museum Hall of Fame Induction ceremony.

The ceremony took place in New Orleans on March 28.

The 2026 Hall of Fame inductees are:

Sidney J. Barthelemy dedicated his life to public service and civic leadership, guided by a belief that government should serve all people. Barthelemy was elected Mayor of New Orleans, becoming the city’s second African American mayor.
