The Philadelphia Phillies kicked off the 2026 MLB season on the right foot after defeating the Texas Rangers 5-3 on Opening Day. Kyle Schwarber kicked off the festivities with a two-run home run in the first inning, and Alec Bohm joined the party later with a three-run home run to put the Phillies up 5-0. The main star of the day, however, was the Phillies’ starting pitcher Cristopher Sánchez.
