Controversial data center campus moving forward in Coweta County

The Citizens for Rural Coweta group said it collected more than 8,000 signatures in opposition to the project. However, the project is set to move forward.

COWETA COUNTY, Ga. — A controversial data center campus in Newnan is moving forward after commissioners approved rezoning of an 800-acre forest.

Project Sail would bring nine buildings and two substations to rural Coweta County. The data center campus would be among the largest in Georgia.
