Fire damages Full Gospel Healing and Restoration Ministries in Atlanta’s Mechanicsville neighborhood on Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard.
ATLANTA — A small Atlanta church that has served its congregation for decades was heavily damaged in a fire Friday evening, leaving members uncertain where they will gather for worship.
The fire broke out just after 6 p.m. along Ralph David Abernathy Boulevard at Windsor Street just south of downtown in the Mechanicsville neighborhood.
According to Atlanta Fire Rescue, the blaze was largely contained to the attic, and firefighters were able to extinguish it before it destroyed
