OPELOUSAS, La. — A North Texas mother is in mourning after her 19-year-old daughter was killed Friday in a car crash on her way home from Louisiana State University.
According to Sherqueena Myles Jackson, her daughter, Courtney Hodge, had just finished her freshman year at LSU after graduating from Red Oak High School in 2025. But on her way home, Louisiana State Police say Hodge was killed in a two-vehicle crash along Louisiana Highway 190 in Opelousas, La.
