ATLANTA — The newest segment of the Atlanta Beltline opened on Thursday, connecting Boulevard and Glenwood Avenue on the southeast side of the city.
The 1.2-mile path connects the Glenwood Park, Grant Park, Ormewood Park and Boulevard Heights neighborhoods and brings the total Beltline trail length to 14.8 miles.
It also creates safer routes to school for students at Parkside Elementary and Maynard Jackson High School, the second Atlanta public high school located directly on the Beltline, according to Beltline
