WASHINGTON — Americans are starting to celebrate the country’s 250th birthday in a very visible way: on their cars.
Several states have rolled out special “America 250” license plates ahead of the nation’s semiquincentennial this year. The designs, many featuring red, white and blue themes, were created in partnership with state motor vehicle agencies and local America 250 organizations.
