A letter to Griffin High families said Monday afternoon that law enforcement officers were on campus investigating after an “external threat” was phoned in.
GRIFFIN, Ga. — Griffin High School’s Level 2 lockdown has lifted Monday afternoon after what was described as an “external threat” was “made to police by telephone.” Officers came to campus to investigate and “make sure… (it) has no credibility.”
Such a state of lockdown means students remain in class and don’t move around the building. Class continued during the investigation.
