Man arrested for setting string of fires across Gwinnett, DeKalb and Walton counties

LOGANVILLE, Ga. — A metro Atlanta man is facing multiple arson-related charges after investigators say he was behind a series of fires across three counties.

Authorities in Loganville announced warrants have been obtained for 42-year-old Javon J. Heard of Lilburn following a coordinated investigation into fires reported March 26.

According to officials, the incidents began around 2:15 p.m. when crews with the Loganville Fire Department responded to a brush fire on Logan Drive.
