Andrea Newman Leaving ‘Chicago Fire’ After 14 Seasons; Victor Teran Named New Showrunner

EXCLUSIVE: There is major changing of the guard on Chicago Fire. Andrea Newman, who has been on NBC‘s firefighter drama for its entire 14-season run to date and showrunner for the past three seasons, is leaving.

Succeeding her is Chicago Fire co-executive producer Victor Teran, who has been named executive producer and showrunner for the upcoming 15th season of the series, from Dick Wolf‘s Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television.

Newman joined Chicago Fire after the pilot as co-executive producer. She was promoted to executive producer in Season 6, became co-showrunner alongside series co-creator Derek Haas in 2021, and took the reins
