First day of early voting for primaries in Georgia broke record with more than 35K ballots cast

ATLANTA — The first day of early voting for the May 19 primaries in Georgia saw a record turnout, Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said Tuesday.

According to Secretary Raffensperger, who himself is running in the Republican primary for governor, there were 35,352 ballots
