An animatronic dinosaur at a Kansas theme park was destroyed by lightning, leaving behind a three-story tall, nearly 100-foot long skeleton.
DERBY, Kan. — Only the skeleton of a three-story tall animatronic dinosaur is left after it was struck by lightning Sunday night.
The dinosaur, a Sauroposeidon (which means Earthquake God Lizard), was park of the Field Station: Dinosaurs theme park in Derby, Kansas. A storm pushed through the park April 25, which is when the nearly 100-foot long dinosaur caught fire, according to the Derby Fire Department.
