U.S. Rep. Scott remembered at Georgia Capitol

Scott has served in the state Senate prior to his election to Congress.

The goodbye began Friday for David Scott, the congressman who died last week. The venue was the state Capitol, where his flag-draped casket arrived late morning.

Scott got democracy’s version of the postmortem royal treatment – his casket arrived to the sound of hoofbeats. Inside, more than 100 people had gathered to pay tribute to the congressman whose political career began in this building when Gerald Ford was president.
