ATLANTA — Atlanta Fire Rescue crews battled a structure fire in Northeast Atlanta Sunday morning.
Crews were dispatched to the 800 block of Berkshire Road NE where they encountered a one-story wood-frame residence with heavy fire and smoke showing. The fire extended to the attic.
Firefighters began an offensive fire attack while conducting searches to make sure everyone was out safely.
Fire conditions extended through the roof area, prompting vertical ventilation and multiple handlines to control the fire.
Searches were completed, with all areas reported to be clear.
