Many arrests were made and more than 70 dirt bikes, vehicles and ATVs were impounded following a Bay Bridge takeover on Sunday, according to the authorities.
CHP said a group of dirt bikers and ATVs crossed the Bay Bridge westbound to San Francisco. Shortly after, they crossed the bridge once again, this time eastbound.
Authorities said a contingent of officers from CHP San Francisco, CHP Oakland and Oakland police stopped traffic to detain the riders. The riders attempted to run away, leaving their dirt bikes and ATVs behind, according to officials.
