Delays in DACA renewals fuels fears of immigration enforcement

WASHINGTON — Attorneys and advocates have voiced mounting concerns that renewals for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), a program protecting undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children and allowing them to work legally, are being delayed.

They fear it is leaving the program’s participants vulnerable to immigration enforcement.
