2 Georgia residents being monitored after leaving viral cruise ship with deadly hantavirus outbreak

The two individuals traveled aboard the MV Hondius, which has been connected to reported cases of hantavirus that has left three people dead.

ATLANTA — Health officials said they are monitoring two Georgia residents who recently returned from a cruise ship linked to a deadly hantavirus outbreak that has made national news. 

Neither person is showing symptoms at this time, however.

The two individuals traveled aboard the MV Hondius, which has been connected to reported cases of hantavirus that has left three people dead, the Georgia Department of Public Health said.
