Suspended sheriff arrested on violating driving conditions after DUI arrest, attorney says he was sober

Hall County Sheriff Gerald Couch has been suspended since mid-March following a DUI arrest.

HALL COUNTY, Ga. — Gerald Couch, the Hall County sheriff suspended in March following a DUI arrest, was arrested again in Dawson County. The sheriff’s office in Dawson County said it was a result of a traffic stop for failure to maintain lane, upon which the 63-year-old was “found to be operating the vehicle on a limited driving permit outside the allowed conditions.”
