Candidates hope to avoid runoff in election

Candidates must meet the 50 percent plus 1 vote threshold to win a race outright and avoid a runoff.

ATLANTA — Thursday’s early voting in the upcoming primary included at least one of the leading candidates for governor.  

With two sons in tow, Keisha Lance Bottoms early voted with a faint hope she’s one and done.  

“I’m always going to run like I’m 30 points down. I wont take it for granted,” she said Thursday.
