Ambulance transporting patient flips over in crash on I-285 in DeKalb County, officials say

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Am ambulance flipped while driving along Interstate 285 on Wednesday evening while transporting a patient. That patient was then taken to the hospital by a second ambulance and their condition is unknown.

DMed officials confirmed with 11Alive’s Cody Alcorn at the scene and also said that both paramedics were not seriously injured. DMed is an ambulance company based out of Chamblee.

The crash happened just before E. Ponce de Leon Avenue at Exit 40.
