HALL COUNTY, Ga. — Gerald Couch, the Hall County sheriff suspended in March following a DUI arrest, has been suspended an additional 30 days by order of Governor Brian Kemp.
The order was issued Friday. It does not give a reason for extending the suspension, citing code that states “in any case where a sheriff has been suspended for 0 days, the Governor may extend the period of suspension for an additional 30 days.”
