Apple TV is set to reach a sports production technology milestone on Saturday, streaming a live Major League Soccer match shot entirely with iPhones.
The exclusive use of iPhone 17 Pros to capture the LA Galaxy-Houston Dynamo FC match at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, CA, builds on an earlier experiment with Major League Baseball. A 2025 MLB game streamed on Apple TV featured select portions shot via iPhones, but the soccer game will be the first full sporting event to rely completely on the devices.
