Coroner identifies woman killed by airborne umbrella at South Carolina restaurant

An airborne umbrella struck and killed the 56-year-old woman during sudden strong winds at a Lake Marion restaurant.

CLARENDON COUNTY, S.C. — A coroner identified the woman who died after being hit by an airborne umbrella during strong winds at a South Carolina restaurant Saturday night.

Clarendon County Coroner Jacqueline Blackwell said 56-year-old Dana Weigner of Huger died after suffering a neck injury during what officials are calling a tragic accident.
