Starting this weekend, MARTA riders will have to pay to get through the transit agency’s new fare gates, ending a weeks-long grace period that allowed passengers to pass through without tapping.
The Atlanta transit agency says riders must now purchase a new Better Breeze card or use the tap-to-pay option with a bank card or mobile wallet to get on board. The change takes effect Saturday.
