Abortion rights fight underscores key themes in Maine’s U.S. Senate race

Four years ago today, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe vs. Wade, the 1973 ruling that established a national right to abortion. In the majority of that decision was Justice Brett Kavanaugh, who Republican U.S. Sen. Susan Collins of Maine had voted to confirm after he had told her the landmark decision was “settled law.”
