Money Mitch’s Last Stand?

Good morning! The Knicks secured another piece of the championship core over the weekend, getting Jose Alvarado to re-sign for a brand new three-year, $14+ million deal. Although the specific numbers on the contract haven’t been reported, it is believed that Alvarado’s 2026-27 salary will be roughly in line with the $4.5 million player option he declined to sign this new deal.

As for the rest of the title-winning bench, much is still up in the air ahead of tomorrow’s 6pm opening of free agency, starting with the biggest Knick question mark – both literally and figuratively…
