Gov. Jeff Landry says he will ask State Police to investigate after Liz Murrill’s indictment

Hours after a New Orleans grand jury returned an indictment of Attorney General Liz Murrill on malfeasance and intimidation charges, Gov. Jeff Landry said he would have State Police investigate the proceedings and those who led them.

“Based on the information contained in the motion by Attorney General Liz Murrill, I am ordering the State Police to immediately begin investigating the alleged improprieties of this grand jury and those who ran it!” Landry said in a statement posted ot social media.
