DES MOINES, Iowa (Gray Media Iowa State Capitol Bureau) — U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst (R – Iowa) said she has been assured that American taxpayers will not contribute to a proposed $300 billion fund to rebuild Iran following the ongoing U.S.-Iran war, now in its fourth month.
The figure has become a point of contention among Republican lawmakers, with Sens. Ted Cruz of Texas, Roger Wicker of Mississippi, and John Cornyn of Texas among those raising concerns about how Iran could use the money and whether it could fund terrorist activities.
