CHIPPEWA COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) – Chippewa County saw several high-profile political visits in June, costing the county more than $10,000 in additional expenses.
On June 5, President Donald Trump visited Custer Farms in Chippewa Falls. On June 1, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Robert F Kennedy Jr. visited Elk Mound.
According to the Chippewa County Administrator Andy Albarado, Secretary Kennedy’s visit cost the county $3,041.18. Those expenses fell outside of normal operational costs. That includes additional staff, equipment, and support from outside agencies.
President Trump’s visit cost the county $7,180.94 in additional costs.
