Seattle’s reigning Super Bowl champs have found a new owner in a Vinod Khosla-led group.
On Saturday, the group’s deal to purchase the Seahawks for a reported $9.612 billion was announced, a record-breaking price tag for an NFL franchise, which the current owners will have to approve during a special meeting in late August, according to ESPN.
As part of the deal, which would make the Khosla family the controlling owners of the Seahawks, they will be required to relinquish their stake in the San Francisco 49ers, the outlet reported.
