I left Monday night’s meeting angry, disappointed, and frankly embarrassed for our town.
By my estimate, approximately twenty residents took the time to stand before you and speak in support of Mike Barnes. Mike himself made an impassioned case, backed by six years of service as a Zoning Board of Appeals alternate, a lifetime of residency in Old Lyme, and credentials that far exceeded those of any other candidate. Exactly one person spoke in favor of Bonnie.
Yet none of it appeared to matter.
