New polling reveals most Black Texas voters back Talarico for Senate

TEXAS — Rep. James Talarico’s campaigning to win favor with Black voters is paying off. 

The Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate has faced scrutiny over his efforts to communicate with Black voters since he beat Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett in the March primary, where she won the majority of the Black vote.

But new polling from Texas Southern University shows 79% of Black voters intend to vote for Talarico over his opponent, Attorney General Ken Paxton.
