‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Eyes Third-Best U.S. 2nd Weekend With $135M-$140M+ – Box Office Update

FRIDAY AFTERNOON: 2026 will see its fifth $100M+ No. 1 weekend at the domestic B.O. as the sophomore session of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, armed with PLF and now Imax screens, is looking at $135M-$140M+ at 4,487 theaters.

That easily would deliver the third-best second frame ever at the domestic B.O. behind 2015’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($149.2M) and 2019’s Avengers: Endgame ($147.3M) and ahead of 2018’s Avengers: Infinity War ($114.7M).

The second Friday for the Sony/Marvel Studios theatrical release is around $40M, -76% from its record first Friday/preview day of $169.8M.
