Bennett’s cartoon crossed the line
Mr. Bennett’s political cartoon of July 31 was extremely inappropriate and offensive. It may easily be interpreted by some as a call for someone to die. At the very least, Mr. Bennett should issue a public apology. Anything beyond that is between him and his employer.
I am not calling for Mr. Bennett to lose his job. He is a very talented man, but nearly everyone makes an error in their actions, but if they truly regret and atone for the error, consequences for the error may need to be tempered.
