DES MOINES, Iowa (Gray Media Iowa State Capitol Bureau) — U.S. Sen. Joni Ernst, Iowa’s first female U.S. senator, is in the final months of her second and final term. Before she leaves office in January, Ernst said passing a new farm bill is among her top priorities.
Ernst, a Republican, announced she would not seek a third term, fulfilling a campaign promise she made in 2014 to serve only two terms.
