Attack ads revive questions of Ken Paxton’s ethics

TEXAS — The attack ads against U.S. Senate candidate Ken Paxton are drudging up the Republican’s past ethical and legal issues nonstop. The most recent ad from Democratic candidate James Talarico rehashes when Paxton stole a $1,000 pen more than a decade ago — an issue that became a major scandal during the Republican’s first run for attorney general in 2014.

And recently, two of his campaign events have been interrupted by people asking about his divorce from his wife, state Sen. Angela Paxton, R-McKinney, who accused him of infidelity.
