Urgent care owner arrested after reported road rage shooting on I-77 near North Carolina line

CARROLL COUNTY, Va. (WBTV) – The owner of a Charlotte-area urgent care was arrested over the weekend after two sisters were allegedly shot during a road rage incident on I-77.

The shooting happened around 9 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 22, on I-77 North in Virginia, about three miles past the North Carolina line.

Virginia State Police said the shooting came amid a reported road rage incident, and that a 20-year-old and 12-year-old in a Jeep were injured. They were both hospitalized but were expected to survive.

Sister-station WDBJ reported the victims were sisters.
