Broadway Musical ‘Six’ To Close In January

Six, the Tony Award-winning Broadway musical that uses modern pop styles to retell the stories of Henry VIII’s wives from the women’s point of view, will close on January 3, 2027, after nearly six years and 2,178 performances.

The closing was announced today by producers Kenny Wax, Wendy & Andy Barnes, George Stiles, and Kevin McCollum.

The musical by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, co-directed by Lucy Moss and Jamie Armitage with choreography by Carrie-Anne Ingrouille, was the first new musical to open on Broadway following the 2020 Covid shutdown. With previews that began on September 17, 2021, and an opening night
