As of Aug. 25, The Battalion began accepting and posting political advertisements from Democratic candidate for Texas Governor, Gina Hinojosa. The media campaign was made and booked through a partner of The Battalion, FlyteDesk — a national advertising service for college student media groups.
The Battalion did not seek out advertisements with political campaigns at the start of the fall semester. Hinojosa was a part of a state-wide advertising campaign that FlyteDesk booked with The Battalion. The Battalion will be accepting and posting political advertisements until Wednesday, Sept. 30. All political ads will be taken down effective Thursday, Oct. 1,
