Gloria Steinem, the American feminist icon and founder of Ms. magazine, died Wednesday, September 2, at her home in New York City. She was 92.
Her death was announced in a joint post on her Instagram account and The Gloria Steinem Foundation. A cause of death was not disclosed, but the statement said she “passed passed away peacefully at her home in New York City, surrounded by some of the many who loved her.”
