Poll: Vannacci taps deep distrust of Italy’s political establishment

Roberto Vannacci’s political project is drawing support less from a conventional right-wing constituency than from voters frustrated with Italy’s political system and attracted by his anti-establishment image, according to a new analysis of his supporters

ROME — A survey cited by pollster Alessandra Ghisleri in La Stampa on Sept. 7 offers a snapshot of the electorate surrounding the former general Roberto Vannacci and his far-right Futuro Nazionale project — highlighting identity issues, distrust of traditional parties and an appetite for political disruption.
