Noah Wyle stressed his roots in the industry’s home town in accepting the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series for his performance in The Pitt.
Beaming as he delivered an evenly paced, minute-long acceptance speech at Sunday’s show, Wyle made prominent note of his background. “I grew up in L.A.,” he said. “I’m a Hollywood kid. I was raised on a television, and movie theaters were my place of worship. This is all I’ve ever wanted to do, and this is the only club I’ve ever wanted to join. Thank you for accepting me.”
