Cue all the “sun will come out” references: Annie, the beloved Tony-winning musical that gave us the song “Tomorrow” and provided generations of child actors the chance to play plucky orphans, will return to Broadway in a 2027 50th Anniversary production to be directed by Oh, Mary!‘s Sam Pinkleton.
The production is planned for fall 2027, say producers Michael Alden and Hal Luftig, Cathy Dantchik, & Kevin Connor for Halcyon Theatricals. Casting and a production timeline for the revival will be announced later.
