BEND, Ore. — The candidates responded in the Oregon gubernatorial race responded Tuesday after election forecaster Cook Political Report slid its rating in the contest a little more to the right and closer to “toss up” territory.
Cook moved the race between Democratic Gov. Tina Kotek and Republican state Sen. Christine Drazan from “Likely Democrat to “Lean Democrat.” That was just two months after it moved the race out of “Solid Democrat” territory.
