Dear Editor: What I find most disturbing about today’s politics is rising number of sour grapes comments.
The purpose of primary elections is to allow the general public input on the candidates for the general election. People have a chance to vote and not a guarantee that their candidate will win. Candidates lose because they have not made their case to the voters, not because of cheating or some conspiracy.
In an age when there is such political division it is absurd to suggest the candidates in the general election are the same or that the candidates simply preserve the status quo.
