UPDATED with sentencing: A judge in Ohio on Monday sentenced former American Idol contestant Caleb Flynn to life in prison without the possibility of parole after he was found guilty last week of murdering his wife.
Flynn, a 40-year-old former worship pastor who competed on American Idol in 2013, was found guilty of aggravated murder among other charges in the February shooting death of his wife Ashley. The couple’s two daughters, then ages 11 and 9, were asleep in the next room.
