Hay Festival Dallas Expands to Four Days With Books, Music and Politics

Hay Festival Forum Dallas is expanding to four days, bringing books, music and politics to Wild Detectives and Texas Theatre from Oct. 15-18. Books remain at the heart of the annual gathering. This year’s ninth edition puts music in the spotlight, with performers arriving from around the world, including Texas. The opening event features a live symphony excerpt and a discussion about women in Welsh performing arts. Headliners include rapper Bun B, Sonic Youth guitarist Lee Ranaldo and novelist Richard Ford. Journalist Nikole Hannah-Jones will discuss race and the stories America tells about itself, while literary conversations also explore fiction
